About: Darcie Friesen Hossack

Darcie Friesen Hossack is a graduate of the Humber School for Writers. A foodwriter for the Kelowna Daily Courier and Kamloops This Week for the past six years (and, lately, thepeartree.ca), Darcie's first collection of literary short stories, Mennonites Don't Dance, will be published in September 2010 by Thistledown Press. Stories that have already been published include "Ashes," published in "Half in the Sun: anthology of Mennonite writing," edited by Elsie K. Neufeld, published by Ronsdale Press. "Loft," was printed by Rhubarb magazine in January '08, "Little Lamb," by Prairie Journal in November '08 and nominated for the McClelland & Stewart Journey Prize.
